1. Rent some good DVDs and watch each one twice, trying to understand the story well. Then, watch it again without the subtittles.
2. Subscribe to any cable TV and watch as many programs as you can in English.
3. Memorize the lyrics from your favorite songs and sing it all day long.
4. Get some book or text in English, and read it out loud for about ten minutes every day.
5. Buy a good bilingual dictionary and study the phonetic section.
6. When reading in English (or listening), ignore all the words that you don't know and focus on those you know.
7. Only look up a word in the dictionary if it appears more than three times in the text.
8. Start writing a journal (diary) in English. If you don't know a word, make it up (yes, invent! use your imagination)! The important thing here is to structure your thoughts in English.
9. Copy texts in English often. This is going to help you memorize grammar structures and vocabulary.
10. Use the Internet to read magazines and the news, even if you don't understand anything at the beggining. Lots of comprehension will come once you get familiar with the text.
11. Try your best to think in English.
12. Learn to like the language. If you don't, you'll never be completely successful in being fluent.
These tips are actually not only for English, but any language you want to learn!
Have a nice weekend!!!

Ventriloquism - very funny!!
"Ventriloquism is an act of stagecraft in which a person (a ventriloquist) manipulates his or her voice so that it appears that the voice is coming from elsewhere (...). The illusion of ventriloquism is just that, an illusion. A ventriloquist is skilled at speaking without moving his or her lips. The audience therefore actually detects the sound of the voice from the ventriloquist’s mouth, but sees only the mouth of the puppet moving" (to read the complete text, click here.)
Well, well... the theory might be boring, but if you watch this guy over here, I bet you'll LOVE ventriloquism. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome mister Jeff Dunham and his amazingly bitter friend Walter!
(he says a few bad words, but is very funny).
Have fun!
Kisses.
